Introduction of a case where software for controlling model trains was developed using an ITRON board.
We will introduce a case study of embedded software education using a railway model with an ITRON board provided by the Graduate School of Systems and Information Engineering at Kyushu University (Nakasu Line Project). We used a railway model because it does not require advanced prior knowledge and allows for visual confirmation of phenomena. The learning kit from Kyoei Electronics is well-equipped with texts. This learning kit has been developed for students at vocational schools, technical high schools, colleges of technology, and universities, allowing them to learn in detail the steps to actually develop software and run μITRON (compliant with Ver4.0) on hardware, starting from basic items. 【Features】 - Spark interest in embedded systems - Solidify knowledge of the C language - Provide hands-on experience with actual hardware - Familiarize students with embedded software development For more details, please download the catalog or contact us.

basic information
【Issues (Excerpt)】 - The transmission section is divided into three segments, controlled by three motor drive circuits. - All three points are controlled by the same single motor drive circuit. Others 【Voices of the Students】 - I felt the necessity and difficulty of designing state transitions that address all elements, such as the time required for a train to pass through a section, which can only be understood by actually operating it; however, there wasn't enough time to do anything about it. - It was both enjoyable and fulfilling to see the program I created operate through the movement of the train.
