"Vacuum casting" is widely known as a method for creating plastic prototypes without the need for expensive and time-consuming mold creation. For shapes that have undercuts, which are typically produced in mass production using blow molding or DSI methods, expensive molds were created even at the prototype stage to obtain prototypes, as the vacuum casting method could not accommodate such shapes.
