The FRM220-40G-1Q4S is a 40G QSFP to 4x 10G SFP+ transponder that enables media conversion and extends transmission distances for 10G links over 40G. The FRM220-40G-1Q4S has been developed to meet the demands of data centers and enterprises that require high bandwidth. With the emergence of high-end servers and Ethernet switches equipped with 40G Ethernet interfaces, there is a need for media conversion (from multimode to single mode) and expansion of link range. The FRM220-40G-1Q4S is a hot-swappable card module with two slots, featuring one QSFP+ port and four SFP+ 1G transceiver ports. Installation is very simple and can be done using a plug-and-play method. The FRM220-40G-1Q4S is ideal for applications requiring QSFP+ or SFP+ when used with the FRM220-CH20 chassis.
