Inrush Current Limiter for Transformer Excitation
Inrush Limiter
A device to eliminate faults caused by inrush current phenomena during the energization of power transformers.
The issues caused by transformer inrush current phenomena lead to voltage drops and current imbalances in the power system, affecting not only the specific power consumers but also surrounding businesses, public facilities, and general households. Traditional measures to address this problem require large equipment such as high-current resistors and charging generators, and rely on manual operations that require experience, making it a challenging issue for those managing power facilities. Our transformer inrush current suppression device, Inrush-limiter T1, automatically controls the phase angle of the transformer circuit breaker to minimize transformer inrush current, fundamentally solving the problems caused by inrush current phenomena.

basic information
The inrush-limiter T1 receives transformer energization operation signals from the power control panel of the substation and automatically performs circuit breaker closing phase angle control at the optimal timing, suppressing the generation of inrush current during transformer energization. The device is finished as a compact unit that fits within the size of a system protection relay, making it easy to install in both new and existing facilities. The connections with the power control panel, such as VT secondary voltage, circuit breaker operation signals, and alarm outputs, are simple and easy to connect (CT input is not required). There is no need for troublesome maintenance or operations each time energization occurs. Our company not only sells the device but also offers system analysis during implementation, installation consulting, manufacturing of standalone panels for device installation, and connection work with power facilities.

Company information
In 1946, the founder walked through the post-war streets, gaining recognition by offering free repairs for burnt irons. In 1949, under the guise of post-war reconstruction, he established the company "Koden-sha" and began the business by repairing electrical equipment such as motors and transformers. Since then, the company expanded its operations to include maintenance of hydroelectric generators and power facilities, as well as the design and construction of electrical and instrumentation works. It further broadened its business into manufacturing, including the design and construction of switchboards and control panels, as well as software development. Today, the company manufactures and sells control devices and software products developed in-house. With years of experience and technology cultivated through its work with local businesses and public projects, it provides products and services that enhance "places that utilize electricity" across the country, earning the trust of its customers.
