● Fluorescent Detection Head In quantitative analysis instruments for DNA/RNA and proteins, such as real-time PCR, flow cytometers, and electrophoresis, fluorescence detection is performed using reagents optimized for the target. These are referred to as fluorescent scanners or fluorescent imagers, and they generally become larger as they follow the design of microscopes. Our company has developed a compact and inexpensive fluorescent detection head by applying optical technology cultivated through optical disc technology and high-sensitivity photoelectric conversion processing technology, utilizing high-brightness LEDs and high-sensitivity photodetectors. We also offer types equipped with semiconductor lasers or PMTs, as well as image processing types using CCDs. ● High-Speed Real-Time PCR Device As a preventive measure against pandemics such as highly pathogenic avian influenza, which has become a social issue, the need for early diagnosis has increased. Therefore, we have been working on the development of a card-type high-speed gene amplification device (RT-PCR) equipped with a CCD-type fluorescent detection head, aiming to establish a fast and reliable diagnostic method. This is a theme pursued by the Tokyo Biomarker Innovation Technology Research Association.
