The DVI optical extension cable is a high-speed DVI-D active optical cable (AOC) compatible with 100m.
It is mainly used in environments that connect industrial monitors, home theater systems, 3D games, medical devices, and servers. Optical elements and semiconductors that convert electrical signals and optical signals are incorporated inside the DVI ends of both cable ends, designed to allow the use of a source power supply, eliminating the need for a separate power port. To facilitate installation, the DVI connector terminals are detachable.
