I often get asked by the general public, "What kind of company are you?" When I explain, I am often mistaken for a printing company, but we are not a printing company. We, Towa Process Co., Ltd., manufacture the cylinders that serve as the basis for gravure printing, such as the product packaging that you usually see at convenience stores and supermarkets. Half of the process involves processing design data received from customers on a PC to create plate data for gravure printing. The other half of the process involves processing the cylinders to a state suitable for plating and manufacturing the gravure printing cylinders using methods such as engraving or laser from the created plate data.
