Achieving interior lining repairs for vibrating conveyors in a short time and at low cost.
In a vibrating conveyor that transports salt for a food manufacturer, high molecular polyethylene was lined on the inside to prevent the contamination of metal powder caused by wear, and it was fixed with bolts. This conveyor is completely sealed, and the internal temperature reaches 60 to 80°C, which causes the conveying surface to warp and leads to issues with proper transportation. Issues: 1. If we request the conveyor manufacturer to produce it, it will take 1.5 months for delivery, and they cannot perform on-site welding. 2. In terms of cost, including the dismantling of the existing conveyor, it would amount to about 2 million yen. 3. Since the site is located in a complicated area, partial repairs are possible, but it cannot be brought in as a single piece. 4. We want to minimize the downtime of the production line and would like to complete repairs in a short time.

basic information
I proposed to cut and repair the warped sections and to replace the severely damaged parts. Points: 1. After cutting the warped sections, install new polyethylene resin. Welding work will be performed on-site using polyethylene welding rods with a dryer set at 180°C to 200°C. 2. Since the length of the conveyor is 6.5 meters, the installation of the new piece will be done in four segments. After that, the seams will be welded while gradually shifting them using a chain block.
