The large double-handled and spey reel has undergone a redesign of its internal structure and now features a Teflon drag system. Traditional cork discs provide stable performance when dry, but they have a weak point in that their drag performance decreases when wet. Teflon, being a material with less surface friction than ice, does not require grease, resulting in an easy-to-maintain drag system.
