The biological treatment improvement agent "Genki" loosens microbial aggregates (which are formed by the strong adhesion of microorganisms and undecomposed substances seen in biological treatment) and enhances the decomposition ability of microorganisms by promoting the supply of dissolved oxygen and decomposable substances. It is a newly developed component (OSSC*) that, in combination with effective microorganisms for wastewater treatment, dramatically increases the decomposition power in biological treatment, making it a completely new type of wastewater treatment agent. * OSSC stands for Organic Substances and Salts Complex (a complex of various organic substances and inorganic salts). It has an immediate effect that overturns conventional wisdom about wastewater treatment agents and works effectively even in small amounts (only requiring a continuous addition of 0.3 to 1 mg/L relative to the treatment volume). It resolves the thickening and clogging of biofilm carriers (filling materials, contact materials) in a short period (from a few days to two weeks) and revives carriers that had no means of recovery. Changes can be observed from a few days after application in the modification of activated sludge.
