BMSspot is a battery management system that optimizes battery usage through a combination of a "battery pack with a built-in cell balancing circuit," a "communication unit that reports battery information via CAN," and a "remote monitoring terminal." ● BMU - Battery Management Unit (Communication Unit) Functions - Monitors the voltage, temperature, overcharging, over-discharging, and overcurrent of battery cells. - Calculates the state of charge (SOC) of the battery during operation. - Controls the cell balancing circuit. - Can control up to 16 CMUs. - Can transmit battery information via CAN. ● CMU - Cell Management Unit (Battery pack with built-in cell balancing circuit) Functions - Contains a cell balancing circuit that minimizes waste in battery cells. - Measures the voltage and temperature of battery cells. ● CANspot - CAN Data Logger Remote Monitoring Terminal - Communicates with the battery system via CAN. - Communicates with control devices via RS232C. - Allows remote monitoring using wireless LAN. - Allows remote monitoring using 3G/GSM. - Can output data to an SD card.
