Transmittance of around 46% without anti-reflective coating in the wavelength range of 1.8 to 23 μm.
- Approximately 46% transmittance without a coat. - Over 90% transmittance due to anti-reflective (AR) coating. - Usable outdoors thanks to DLC coating. - Flat spectral transmittance characteristics with no deep absorption bands in the 8-14μm range. - High refractive index allows for the creation of lenses with short focal lengths and gentle curvature. - Transmittance decreases with heating, so cooling is recommended when used in high-temperature environments.

basic information
Even without an anti-reflective coating, it has a transmittance of around 46%, and by applying a coating, a high transmittance of over 90% can be achieved. There is no deep absorption around 9μm typically seen in standard grade Si, and relatively flat spectral transmittance characteristics can be obtained in the long wavelength range of 8 to 14μm. It is optimal for observation windows of thermal imaging cameras and windows for radiation thermometers.
