It can automatically detect labeled DNA from the destruction of microorganisms.

The fully automated genetic testing device can automatically perform the following processes: destruction of microorganisms → DNA extraction → DNA amplification and labeling → DNA chip reaction → detection of labeled DNA. Under LED lighting, the CCD reads the hybridized DNA spots and identifies the species based on the read spot patterns. Species identification can be specified down to typing within the same species, and the chip for detecting Cryptosporidium can distinguish between 8 species (pathogenic and non-pathogenic) within the genus.
