High brightness can be achieved with monolithic LEDs with a light-emitting area size of 1.6mm² to 14mm². The photonic lattice structure allows for efficient and uniform light focusing, enabling high directivity. The thermal design is simple, allowing for efficient cooling, which results in high brightness and long lifespan. Depending on the optical parameters of the system, die size selection is possible, and it can be used as a light source with an aspect ratio of 16:9 or 4:3 for optical devices such as Texas Instruments' DLP (PT120, PT121). The photonic lattice structure enables high brightness with monolithic LEDs.
