■Why insulate the interior? Optimus Interior Paint is packed with micro-sized microcapsules that create an insulating layer. When the paint dries, the microcapsules cover the surface, preventing the transfer of heat, which keeps the temperature from escaping outside. The space remains warm with just a small heat source, and in summer, it improves the efficiency of air conditioning, leading to energy savings. ■Why keep the air clean? The photocatalyst in Optimus Interior Paint is doped with metal ions, making it a visible light-responsive photocatalyst that reacts even in the visible light spectrum. This means that every time the lights are turned on indoors, harmful substances adhering to the walls can be removed. (It is also compatible with LED lights.) *OPTIMUS is a product developed in collaboration with Osaka Prefecture University Graduate School of Engineering, supported by Sakai City. The special photocatalytic effect of OPTIMUS, developed based on the photocatalyst technology held by Osaka Prefecture University, is currently under patent application.
