Development Tool SL-GMS Developer for .NET

Development of an electric equipment monitoring and control system for water management, including river flood control and agricultural irrigation facilities: SL Japan announced that Ebara Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd., part of the Ebara Group, is using the Microsoft .NET version of SL-GMS for the 64-bit native Windows 10 compatibility of its open monitoring and control system, EDFrame. The graphical operation screen of the monitoring and control system developed with SL-GMS displays the entire facility, which is widely distributed, on a map for comprehensive management, monitors the status and details of equipment for each facility through system diagrams, and provides alarm displays in case of failures or abnormalities. Additionally, these screens allow for remote operation of equipment and safety checks at the site using images from CCTV cameras, and the situation can be distributed to stakeholders' mobile devices via the web. The screens, which have real-time dynamic attributes tailored to various customer needs, such as water levels in reservoirs, gate operations, discharge water volume, drainage conditions by pumps, and changes in water levels at river measurement points, can be interactively created using the SL-GMSDraw editor independently from each monitoring and control system and can be reused and customized.

SL Japan has officially added support for Windows 11, Windows Server 2022, and Visual Studio 2022 in the latest versions of SL-GMS, which have undergone quality assurance testing for each of C++, Java, Microsoft .NET, and HTML5: - SL-GMS C++/Developer, Custom Editor Option V7.2a - SL-GMS Developer for .NET, Custom Editor for .NET Option V5.3a - SL-GMS J/Developer (Java) V4.5a * - SL-GMS Web/Developer (HTML5) V3.0a * * Visual Studio 2022 is not applicable. With SL-GMS, content-rich yet compact and fast dynamic GUI/HMI and system-specific custom editors are developed and operated for the world's most mission-critical control systems (DCS/SCADA), and are embedded for resale.

SL Japan announced that Nuclear Engineering Co., Ltd., a comprehensive engineering company involved in the construction and decommissioning of nuclear power plants, has utilized the Microsoft .NET-based 64-bit version of SL-GMS for the development of its plant operation monitoring system. In this plant operation monitoring system, the graphic operation interface has been developed for Windows 10 using the 64-bit version of SL-GMS Developer for .NET. The main graphic system diagrams developed with SL-GMS are configured to instantly determine process data such as temperature, flow rate, pressure, and water level, as well as the operational status of pumps and the open/close status of valves, enabling accurate understanding of various situations and supporting safe and stable plant operations. The SL-GMSDraw editor, which allows for the development of graphic operation screens independently from the system, significantly reduces the labor required for rework and keeps maintenance labor associated with screen updates to a minimum.

SL Japan has released the latest version 5.3 of the SL-GMS Developer for .NET and Custom Editor for .NET optional products, further enhancing the development of an unparalleled dynamic GUI/HMI for monitoring and control systems that are exceptionally strong in web/remote operations. The dynamic graphic screens developed with the SL-GMSDraw editor are uniquely interactive and high-performance, allowing for smooth browsing and operation in web/remote environments just as effectively as in local operations, including on mobile devices. Furthermore, the graphic screens developed with SL-GMS Developer for .NET can be converted into compact and fast HTML5 code by SL-GMS Web/Developer (a separate product), providing robust support for broader web operations and cloud operations. In this new version 5.3a, visibility and detectability renamed variables have been added to the .NET controls, along with updates to the corresponding variable binding samples, and a new "Zoom Pan Step Size" property has been added to the view manager, allowing for changes to the zoom rate per instance.
