A new deodorization system that uses porous glass foam material as a deodorizing substrate.
The Porous Alpha Deodorization System is an odor removal device developed by the Tottori Prefectural Livestock Experiment Station, utilizing glass foam material (Porous Alpha). When odor gases such as ammonia and hydrogen sulfide pass through the countless fine pores of Porous Alpha, the odor components are adsorbed within the pores, and the adsorbed odor components are decomposed and deodorized by microorganisms that have settled on the Porous Alpha. It maintains a high deodorization capability without the need for substrate replacement for a semi-permanent period. ■ Product Features - Maintains high deodorization capability - Requires a small installation area - Low water and electricity costs - No need for regular replacement of deodorizing material The tanks of the deodorization system are available in various forms, such as steel plate, reinforced concrete, silo-type, and resin tanks, depending on the site conditions and scale.

basic information
■Cost Characteristics Porous α does not require regular substrate replacement and has low electricity costs, resulting in a significant difference in running costs compared to other deodorization methods. It is recommended for those considering cost reduction in deodorization equipment. ■When Installing a New Deodorization System When installing a new deodorization system, Porous α is used by filling it into concrete deodorization buildings or tanks. Unlike other biological deodorization methods (such as bark deodorization), the deodorization substrate (Porous α) can be stacked to a height of over 2 meters, allowing installation in narrow areas. Additionally, due to its low air resistance, the electricity costs for the blower are approximately 20-50% lower compared to other biological deodorization methods. ■When Improving Existing Deodorization Equipment Porous α can also be used as a replacement substrate for existing biological deodorization equipment. If there are unpleasant odors that cannot be eliminated by conventional deodorization methods or if the running costs of existing equipment are high, switching to Porous α can enhance deodorization capability, reduce electricity costs, and eliminate the need for substrate replacement, resulting in various benefits. *Biological deodorization methods include bark deodorization, wood chip deodorization, and soil deodorization.
