At the Food Environment Research Institute, we will thoroughly support companies involved in "food" by visiting their facilities to achieve the hygiene management objectives they require. We propose a four-step process aimed at realizing management methods for providing safe food.

We will support hygiene management based on the following four stages: 1) Understanding the current state of hygiene regarding facilities and products ■ Swab tests ■ Airborne bacteria tests ■ Raw material and product inspections ■ Visual inspections 2) Reviewing and improving hygiene-related operations (software improvements) To review each step of the work process, we will check and verify from both objective perspectives using checklists and subjective viewpoints. Based on the results, we will consider revisions and improvements to the operations and management procedures related to hygiene. 3) Planning hygiene measures and establishing standards We will develop a plan based on the proposed improvements regarding the hygiene management of equipment, utensils, and the food handled, as well as education and training related to food hygiene for employees. We will create hygiene management standards suitable for each company and support the implementation of these standards. 4) Introduction of HACCP-like management methods Throughout the entire food manufacturing process, we will analyze the causes of potential hazards and manage hygiene at all stages from production to processing, manufacturing, distribution, cooking, and consumption by consumers to ensure greater safety.
