1. Alnico magnets, which have a long history, are metal magnets with relatively high Br. They are primarily composed of aluminum, nickel, cobalt, and iron, and are manufactured through casting or sintering. Most materials have a Br that exceeds 10,000 (G). 2. Resistant to temperature changes. The temperature coefficient of Br is -0.02%/°C, making it a magnet with minimal reversible temperature change. The temperature coefficient of Hcj is nearly zero up to around 600°C, allowing for high-temperature use. 3. Prone to demagnetization from external magnetic fields and mechanical shocks. Due to the small value of Hcj, caution is needed as it can easily demagnetize under external reverse magnetic fields. Mechanical shocks can easily lower Hcj, so care must be taken with mechanical vibrations and impacts. 4. There are limitations on shape. Because of the small value of Hcj, it is necessary to have a larger height dimension in the magnetization direction. Depending on the shape, there may be restrictions due to casting molds or dies, but dimensional accuracy can be finished to a high level through polishing.
