● Absolute molecular weight measurement is possible The intensity of scattered light obtained from the light scattering detector allows for the measurement of absolute molecular weight that is independent of elution volume. ● Intrinsic viscosity measurement is possible The viscosity detector enables the measurement of the intrinsic viscosity of the molecules. ● Copolymer analysis is possible By combining a UV detector or a photodiode array (PDA) detector with a differential refractive index (RI) detector, the ratio of two components in a fraction can be calculated. ● Mark-Houwink-Sakurada plot is possible By plotting absolute molecular weight on the horizontal axis and intrinsic viscosity on the vertical axis, information regarding the branching of polymers can be obtained.
