It is one of the corporate testing standards specified by ISTA. However, the ISTA 6-SAMSCLUB standard is categorized as a "project standard" within the ISTA testing standards and will be released as an official version after a certain trial period. This standard is significantly influenced by Walmart's environmental strategy, which began around 2005. The aim is to lead the optimization of supplier packaging to achieve CO2 reduction and waste reduction, including packaging.
