AC-DC Power Supply "SMI10-USB Series"

CUi Japan Co., Ltd. has announced a new series of AC adapters with built-in USB connectors, "SMI10-USB, SWI10-N-USB, SWI10-E-USB," compliant with the U.S. Department of Energy Level VI and European CoC Tier 2 standards. The 10W series models SMI10-USB, SWI10-N-USB, and SWI10-E-USB are designed to meet the stringent requirements for average efficiency and no-load power consumption mandated by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in February 2016. Manufacturers, both domestic and international, planning to launch end products with external adapters in the U.S. market must comply with this new Level VI standard, which aims to significantly reduce power consumption when the power connection is inactive or disconnected from the system. Each of the above models also complies with the new CoC Tier 2 guidelines, which set power consumption limits at 10% load, to be implemented by the EU in January 2018. All three models meet Class B conditions for conducted and radiated interference, making them ideal AC adapters for a wide range of consumer applications, including media players, e-book readers, GPS devices, and other portable devices.
