basic information
The electromagnetic drive (EMA) technology, born from the needs of the racing industry for portable and cost-effective damper testing solutions, integrates a lightweight linear electric motor that does not use iron in its core to achieve faster speeds at higher loads than mechanical or hydraulic solutions, without the need to compensate for temperature, oil column resonance, or friction specific to these technologies. Furthermore, the electric drive system requires far less capital investment and foundational structure than hydraulic solutions, resulting in a cleaner and quieter operation, quicker setup, and easier maintenance and repairs. The EMA damper series consists of four models with peak load capacities of 8.9 kN (2,000 lbf), 17.8 kN (4,000 lbf), 26.7 kN (6,000 lbf), and 53 kN (12,000 lbf). All EMA damper systems feature industry-recognized Windows-based SHOCK testing control and damper analysis software, which also supports the incorporation of road load data/test course data to simulate real-world conditions.

MTS Japan, Inc. is the Japanese subsidiary of the American engineering company MTS Systems Corporation, which specializes in various testing equipment. For over 40 years, we have provided engineering consulting services to users in Japan, delivering earthquake simulation systems, automotive durability testing systems, aircraft fatigue testing equipment, and various material testing devices to public institutions, universities, and private companies in our country. All of these systems play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of their operations and are indispensable when it comes to "manufacturing" products. MTS Japan, Inc. was established in June 1972 with a 50% investment from MTS Systems Corporation. In May 1975, it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the company, and in 1981, we established the Nagoya branch (now the West Japan branch) to strengthen our sales and support system, which continues to this day. Through collaboration with MTS, we achieve optimization of design, improvement of productivity, and reduction of time to market for our customers' products.
