There are various methods for this, including radiation exposure, the addition of crosslinking agents, and chemical crosslinking. Epoxy resins, which harden when two liquids are mixed, also undergo this reaction. "Crosslinked fluoropolymer" utilizes this reaction, and due to its stable molecular structure, it exhibits remarkable wear resistance.
