"Increase light concentration effect on white surfaces" while suppressing weed growth around solar panels (ground-mounted) for about 10 years, enhancing light concentration effect and electricity exchange rate.
Biodegradable weed control sheet "Osumi Tsuki (R)" developed by Yagi Textile Industry Co., Ltd. Based on the construction and sales achievements certified by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (NETIS registration number: HR-120015-VR), we have developed a weed control sheet specifically for solar power panels (ground-mounted) called Cool Island (Yuki Akari). The surface of the weed control sheet is white, reflecting direct sunlight and reducing ground surface temperature, while the reflected light is absorbed by the panels. The underside is black, eliminating photosynthesis and blocking weed sprouts from underground! Ideal for crime prevention measures. In recent years, there have been many reports of copper wire thefts from solar power plants. When weeds grow abundantly under solar panels, the black or green color of the weed control sheet can serve as camouflage for intruders at night, making them less visible—a counterproductive phenomenon. Cool Island (Yuki Akari) has the effect of highlighting intruders under moonlight or nearby streetlights, creating a psychological effect that makes intrusion more difficult. 【Features】 ○ Weed-free operation for about 15 years with maintained power generation efficiency ○ Diffuses sunlight, lowering ground surface temperature ○ Increases electrical exchange rate and light concentration effect ○ Approximately 20 years of durability under crushed stone ● For more details, please contact us or download the catalog.

Yagi Textile Industry Co., Ltd. has been engaged in the development of weed control sheets that can contribute to a low-carbon society amid concerns about rising sea levels and extreme weather due to global warming. The most environmentally friendly approach to weed control might be to leave everything to nature and let it be. However, the proliferation of weeds not only deteriorates the landscape but also leads to visibility issues, allergen dispersion, and the emergence of pests and diseases, making it something that cannot be ignored. This necessitates regular weeding, which can be a significant workload, and the use of strong herbicides can reduce soil fertility and potentially destroy ecosystems. Therefore, one method is to lay down weed control sheets in areas where weed proliferation is to be avoided, but conventional weed control sheets have two environmental burden factors. One is that the materials used in the manufacturing of the sheets are derived from petroleum. The other is that the disposal of the sheets after degradation can generate a lot of CO2. The weed control sheet developed by Yagi Textile Industry, "Osumi Tsuki(R)," thoroughly eliminates these two environmental burden factors.
