Iron + Bind B Tight, manufactured by Nitto Seiko, nickel-plated.
It is a screw that can be tightened while forming a male thread on the counterpart component, eliminating the need for thread processing or nuts. The cross-section of the screw part is shaped like a rice ball (triangular), allowing for fastening with a smaller torque compared to tapping screws. The thread pitch is the same as that of two types of tapping screws. It can be used with both metal sheets and plastic components. It enables the standardization and integration of screws during assembly manufacturing. It is compliant with EU-RoHS standards.

Applications/Examples of results
Steel is widely used as a material for screws due to its easy availability and strength. Based on carbon steel, which primarily consists of iron (Fe) and carbon (C), alloy steels are used that have undergone heat treatment or have additives such as chromium and molybdenum, depending on the application for shape, strength, and corrosion resistance. Nickel plating, which has a mirror-like luster, is widely used for decorative purposes. Its rust resistance is superior to chromate treatment and trivalent chromate treatment. To enhance adhesion to screws and rust resistance, a copper plating is applied as a base layer under the nickel plating.
