Applications/Examples of results
Steel is widely used as a material for screws due to its easy availability, strength, and toughness. Based on carbon steel, which primarily consists of iron (Fe) and carbon (C), alloy steels are used that have undergone heat treatment or have additives such as chromium and molybdenum, depending on the application for shape, strength, and corrosion resistance. The high corrosion-resistant matte black treatment (FA coat) is a non-conductive coating formed by reacting a resin based on zinc iron alloy and silicate. The surface is treated with a fastener coat containing fluororesin, providing excellent corrosion resistance, torque stability, lubricity, and weather resistance. It has a non-glossy black coating with a thickness of 7 to 15 microns and passes the salt spray test (SST) for 3,000 hours. It complies with RoHS/ELV directives.
