Stainless steel hex socket set screw with a recessed tip
This is a screw with a head that has the same shape as the threaded part and features a hexagonal hole. It is tightened using a hexagonal rod wrench (hex key). It is used when the tip of the screw is pressed against the counterpart to secure it. Because the tip of the screw is recessed, it may leave a circular mark on the counterpart. It is also referred to as a hollow set or set screw. It is compliant with EU-RoHS standards.
