Tsukuba Iron Works' "1D bending process" is a processing technology that allows pipes to be bent with a pipe diameter and bending radius that are nearly equal to 1. Bending a pipe with a pipe diameter and bending radius of approximately 1 to 1 is referred to as 1D bending (minimal radius bending). As the radius decreases, it becomes difficult to bend the pipe without causing cracks. At Tsukuba Iron Works, thanks to years of know-how and experience, we are capable of 1D bending processing for small to large diameters ranging from φ34 to 114.3.
