"Etak" is a disinfectant component based on ethoxysilane that continuously shuts out pathogenic microorganisms (such as influenza, adenovirus, norovirus, MRSA, and E. coli). It is a chemically synthesized product made from R-AC components (quaternary ammonium salts) and Si-Et components (silanes). By oxidizing the surface of materials (such as glass, wood, metal, and fibers) and covalently bonding Si-ET to the surface, the R-AC (disinfectant component) is fixed in a way that it covers the surface of the material.
