"Electroless Nickel Boron Plating" is a plating that has high hardness and is suitable for complex products. It achieves a hardness of HV1000 (during heat treatment), which is harder than hard chrome plating, and has a hardness of about Hv750 during the plating deposition. Because it can be uniformly plated on complex-shaped products that require wear resistance, it is used as an alternative to hard chrome for molds and mold components. It has excellent solderability, and due to the slow immobilization rate of the coating, there is no decrease in solderability after long-term storage. While regular electroless nickel plating oxidizes at 350°C for 30 minutes, this product does not oxidize up to 450°C for 30 minutes.
