DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) is, as the name suggests, "carbon that resembles diamond," and it is very hard, has a smooth surface with a low friction coefficient, and can possess various characteristics. Tokken's ICF coating (which adds various functions to DLC) is highly excellent in antibacterial properties, anti-thrombus, low hemolysis, corrosion resistance, chemical resistance, and body fluid resistance. It is scientifically inert and stable, has no impact on living organisms, and is an environmentally friendly material. Tokken applies DLC coating to scientific instruments, experimental equipment, medical materials, and medical devices.

- Stains that are difficult to remove, such as proteins and blood, adhere very poorly, and even if they do adhere, they are easy to remove. - It can prevent the scattering of light from the blade edge, making it gentle on the eyes and reducing fatigue. - As a metal elution prevention film, it forms a coating for those who dislike direct contact with metals, such as individuals with allergies. - Being black in color, any adhering agents are easily visible, preventing measurement errors and contamination. - It has good sliding properties and high wear resistance, making it possible to integrate into devices without oil. Unless otherwise specified, standard DLC coating will be applied.

■For scissors, knives, etc. – Water-repellent, low friction coefficient, light reflection prevention, wear resistance, improved adhesion prevention – By innovating the fluorine doping and coating conditions, we have endowed the DLC film with water-repellent properties similar to Teflon. As a result, stains that were traditionally difficult to remove, such as proteins and blood, can now be easily cleaned. Additionally, it can prevent irregular light reflection at the blade tip, contributing to accident prevention. ■For medicine spoons, spatulas, etc. – Prevention of metal leaching, high hardness, low friction coefficient, wear resistance – As a metal leaching prevention film, it is possible to form a film over a large area for items that dislike direct contact with metals, accommodating sizes up to 3 meters. Furthermore, due to its black color, any adhering substances can be easily seen. ■Examples of coatings for medical instruments (suture needles, micro scissors) We also provide ICF coatings tailored to other purposes.
