Gigabit media converter with OAM/IP management functionality.
The FRM220-1000EAS/X-1 is a gigabit media converter that converts 10/100/1000Base-T to 100/1000Base-X SFP and complies with IEEE802.3ah OAM standards. Network administrators can monitor, configure, and control each IEEE802.3ah series card and remotely connected OAM-compliant converters using standalone chassis or modular chassis that support SNMP and web management features. This gigabit converter also supports layer 2 switching technologies such as bandwidth control, speed settings, VLAN tagging, Q-in-Q, QoS, spanning tree, automatic laser shutdown, link fault pass-through, OAM loopback, and Dying Gasp.
