It can also maintain a constant "on" state for the source for system integrators or continuously send defined signals. It enhances the integrity of HDMI signals and can amplify the +5 V signal through the HDMI/DVI-D link. Additionally, it can be used to limit the output resolution of the source. Dr.HDMI functions as an EDID manager, HDMI/DVI-D emulator (with user-configurable areas and available preset settings), and as a repeater.
