FlowSimulator3D is a three-dimensional finite element thermal flow analysis system targeting the plastic extrusion molding process. This system consists of two advanced analysis programs: 1) Flow Tetra, which performs high-functionality 3D thermal fluid analysis at a low cost by collaborating with affordable 3D CAD software like MOI, freely available 3D CG software like Blender, and a tetrahedral element automatic mesh generator like Netgen, and 2) Multi Profile Simulator, which predicts the thermal flow conditions of molten resin and the extrusion/interface shapes with free surfaces and multilayer fluid interfaces at high speed and high precision.

FlowSimulator is a highly practical thermal fluid analysis system that has been finely tuned for extrusion analysis, leveraging years of development experience and know-how from commercial 3D/FEM fluid analysis programs. - User-friendliness It is an easy-to-use, cost-effective single-layer/multi-layer fluid analysis system for extrusion, equipped with dedicated pre/post-processors and a GUI. It fully supports tetrahedral solid elements automatically generated using the free software Netgen from CAD data (STL files) created with low-cost 3D CAD software like MOI or the free software Blender, allowing for efficient analysis of complex three-dimensional shape models at a low cost. - High-precision complete 3D solid FEM analysis system It adopts specifications that faithfully analyze the three-dimensional governing equations of incompressible viscous fluids (Navier-Stokes equations), making it applicable to various fluid problems. In particular, it enhances the analysis capabilities for high-viscosity fluids involving free surfaces and interfaces of multi-layer fluids.
