In contrast, the current burstless fire extinguishers (stored pressure type) are filled with clean nitrogen gas and maintain a uniform pressure at all times, preventing any bursting. *All bursting incidents in the past 10 years have involved pressurized types. There have been no incidents with stored pressure types.
