■ Powerful Camera Calibration Function You can choose between two types of camera calibration, "Geometric Optical Camera Model" and "Direct Mapping," which are key to achieving good stereo PIV measurements. This allows for wide-ranging support in flow fields where it is difficult to establish reference points for camera calibration or where image distortion is significant. The dedicated camera calibration software (ISCC) strongly supports the cumbersome camera calibration process. ■ "Back Projection" and "Lighting Position Correction" FtrPIV-Stereo is characterized by projecting particle images captured by two cameras onto a virtual plane defined by the sheet light position, offering the following advantages: 1. The same PIV analysis applicable to 2-component PIV can be applied. 2. Stereo reconstruction can be performed from inspection windows of the same range. 3. "Lighting position correction" can be easily performed. Here, "lighting position deviation" refers to the discrepancy between the actual sheet light position and the stereo reconstruction cross-section position, and correction is necessary for accurate measurements. FtrPIV-Stereo has the capability to obtain correction values automatically, in addition to manual correction while viewing the screen.
