This is an aluminum alloy nut for CFRP that prevents galvanic corrosion. It allows for fastening with metal bolts to CFRP without worrying about galvanic corrosion.
■ High Risk Mitigation for Galvanic Corrosion These are aluminum alloy nuts. They are treated with a patented special hard anodized coating on the surface to ensure electrical insulation and effectively prevent the occurrence of galvanic corrosion. When mounted on CFRTP containing 40% carbon fiber and subjected to corrosion resistance evaluation using the JIS saltwater alternating immersion method, they maintain corrosion resistance for 3,000 hours. ■ Synergy in Weight Reduction The specific gravity of aluminum armor nuts is one-third that of iron. This allows for weight reduction of both the material using CFRP and the nuts themselves simultaneously. ■ Strong Fastening Capability The pull-out strength exceeds that of conventional knurled insert nuts when mounted on CFRTP and pulled out. Additionally, the resistance to rotation and the strength of the internal threads are at the level where a bolt of strength class 10.9 would break when screwed in. The secret lies in the shape of the nut, which allows for easy flow of carbon fiber. ■ Contribution to Overall Cost Reduction The costs associated with galvanic corrosion measures that were previously necessary are reduced. This lowers the overall manufacturing costs, promotes the use of CFRP, and contributes to product weight reduction.

Company information
Established in 1917, during the dawn of mass production of screws in Japan, the company succeeded in producing the first domestic cross-recessed screws in 1949 and cooperated with the government to domesticate tapping screws in 1954. We hold data on over 200,000 types of screws and bolts, enabling us to manufacture a variety of products with high quality. Recently, we have been focusing on research and development investments, working on tapping bolts with a diameter of 6mm or more, high-strength aluminum bolts, tapping screws for thin steel plates, and tapping screws for CFRP, which will support the next generation. We are committed to challenging innovative technology development without being bound by history.
