Explaining the use of Tsubushi Shiro, gaps, and backup rings is possible with sample provision.
■Tsubushi Shiro When using O-rings for motion, Tsubushi Shiro significantly affects sealing effectiveness, dynamic resistance, and compression set, so it must be kept to a minimum. In cases of high speed or poor lubrication conditions, please make Tsubushi Shiro even smaller than standard motion O-rings. ■Gap At high pressure, gaps between the piston and cylinder, as well as between the rod and sleeve, can cause extrusion, leading to damage. This gap should be designed to be as small as possible. The use of backup rings is effective in preventing extrusion. ■Use of Backup Rings When pressure is applied from both sides, install backup rings on both sides of the O-ring. When pressure is applied from one direction, install one backup ring on the side opposite the pressure. If there is enough space, it is recommended to use two backup rings even for unidirectional pressure. *Samples are available upon request.
