In the valve opening and closing mechanism of the fuel injection system, the precision of the seat surface is a very difficult part to process, as it affects the sealing performance under high pressure. We addressed this with the SIG-2II, which features the following: - During the grinding of the seat surface, we switched from conventional simultaneous two-axis control to control with only one axis that moves parallel to the seat surface, eliminating motion errors from one axis. - By using a two-spindle arrangement, we achieved high precision coaxiality by simultaneously processing the inner diameter and the seat surface in one chuck. 【Processing Results】 Material: SUS420J2 (HRC50-55) Inner diameter roundness: 0.44μm, coaxiality: 1.54μm Seat surface roundness: 0.23μm, seat surface runout: 0.73μm 【Photo (Equipment)】 SIG-2SII (Seiko Instruments) *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
