To build a comfortable communication environment using light, it is essential to reliably connect optical fibers and to have connection components that transmit information (light signals) sent from the source to the destination without loss. Our group was the first in the world to develop the APC (Angled Physical Contact) connector, which significantly reduces light reflection at the connection surface. It was later certified as a global standard. Our strengths lie in providing all components and tools that connect "light," including ferrules, housings, and adapters compatible with all connector types such as SC, LC, FC, and MU, as well as jumpers that connect optical fibers to connectors and polishing machines that polish the connector surfaces.

Optical communication networks are composed of many optical devices with various functions. As video distribution via the internet becomes more common and the use of smartphones and tablet devices increases, the amount of information flowing through optical communication networks is growing exponentially. We are developing a variety of optical devices with necessary functions for the evolving optical communication market, such as polarization maintaining (PM) connectors used in coherent optical communication for next-generation high-speed and large-capacity optical transmission, jumper cables that utilize these connectors, and optical attenuators that reduce the intensity of light to appropriate levels.
