ADAS, software for autonomous driving development [case study collection available]
Implemented by major OEMs, suppliers, and service providers. Real-time fusion of sensor data through high-speed computation, linked with map information.
You can download the latest materials for the simulation software, part of the CarMaker product family ('CarMaker, TruckMaker, MotorcycleMaker'), which is used for the development and evaluation of advanced driver assistance systems and highly automated driving systems utilizing virtual test driving. This product supports all major sensor models, including cameras, ultrasonic, radar, and LiDAR. Depending on the development stage or verification purpose, we can provide three types of sensor models (ideal state, HiFi, RSI). 【Main Use Cases】 - Development and testing in a virtual environment using deep learning - Generation of reproducible scenarios for functional verification during the development stage - Testing and development of various sensor models - Importing map information and utilizing real-world measurement data - Creating road environments using external tools - Executing parallel tests for HPC clusters - Freely setting traffic density for use in RDE analysis *We will have a booth at the "Automotive Engineering Exposition: Human and Vehicle Technology Expo 2021 Yokohama" (Booth Number: 225). Please experience the simulation of autonomous driving using CarMaker and driving simulators!*

Company information
Various tools are being developed to realize model-based development. In automotive development, verification and testing using prototype vehicles are significantly constrained by time and cost, and although the importance of verification is increasing with the complexity of vehicle systems, it is difficult to rely solely on verification environments at the vehicle level. IPG Automotive provides a simulation environment for one vehicle, called the "Virtual Test Driving" platform, which can be utilized by all engineers involved in vehicle development from the early stages of the development process. Our company was established in 1984 as a spin-off from Karlsruhe University (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). The mission established at the time of founding, to balance vehicle simulation and real-time computation, continues to this day, emphasizing the coupling of driver models and environment models, and is designed based on maneuver testing rooted in driver operation. Our platform is equipped with sensor models that are essential for recent ADAS/AD development, enabling virtual closed-loop verification that includes the vehicle, environment (roads and traffic flow), and driver.
