A must-see for design engineers! A clear explanation of the basic knowledge of precision press processing and precision press molds!
To manufacture precision press-processed products, intricate and high-precision press molds are required. High-precision press molds demand machining at the micron level, and to produce complex and irregularly shaped precision press-processed products, the machining shapes of the press molds also become complex. Additionally, since press molds require high durability, materials with high hardness are often used. There are various types of high-hardness materials, so the machining method must be selected and applied according to the material and shape. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.

basic information
**Processing Methods for Precision Press Dies** ■ Machining By using rotating grinding tools such as drills and end mills, the press die is machined to achieve the desired shape. ■ Electrical Discharge Machining High-hardness materials that cannot be processed by machining can be processed with high precision using the electrical discharge phenomenon. ■ Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (Wire EDM) Using brass wire and utilizing the phenomenon of discharge in a liquid, metal is melted for processing. This method is suitable for fine hole machining. ■ Grinding The surface of the die is removed by a high-speed rotating grinding wheel, creating a smoother surface than that achieved by machining or other grinding processes. ■ Profile Grinding Also known as profile grinding, this is a type of grinding process where the die or model is ground to match the same shape. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.*
