Adopting a zirconia ferrule with an air gap structure at the tip!
The "FCQ-AG" is a springless FC connector that features a zirconia ferrule with an air gap structure at the tip. Light that does not enter the core is diffused by the air gap, and the zirconia transmits about 60% of the light. Since no organic materials are used at the connector tip, it is possible to avoid burning the optical fiber even at high temperatures.
