This is a case study of the production of a base housing for HDDs that requires high precision and complex surface contours. The material used for the housing is iron (SPC) with a thickness of 0.6mm. To perform high-precision punching, drawing, and press forming, it is necessary to design and manufacture highly accurate press molds.
