Automatic measurement of transmittance, reflectance, and polarization of filter, mirror, and PBS cube.
The PHTORN RT (manufactured by ESSENT Optics) is a spectrophotometer that automatically measures reflectance, transmittance, and polarization of optical elements such as filters, mirrors, and PBS cubes, making it ideal for evaluating and quality controlling flat optical components. It features a unique fully automated optical setup that eliminates the need to change measurement accessories for each reflectance and transmittance measurement, allowing for continuous measurement of both. This significantly improves work efficiency and greatly reduces tact time. It is a device that manufacturers responsible for routine evaluation of optical coatings and quality control of finished products should definitely use. It supports a wide wavelength range from 185 nm to a maximum of 5200 nm (with fully automatic detector switching), includes beam shift correction during oblique incidence measurements (with fully automatic detector position correction), is equipped with P and S polarization elements (with fully automatic switching), has a mercury lamp for wavelength calibration, and features a measurement data report generation function, all designed to streamline optical element evaluation and quality control tasks. In terms of performance, it has a double beam system with a high baseline stability of 0.1%/hour, enabling high stability and high precision measurements. The device is compact, measuring 420×610×270 mm, and can be placed on a tabletop.
