The dedicated catalyst required for operating diesel generators using waste cooking oil and palm oil in biomass power generation is PS-1Q.
This is a plant oil-specific catalyst that allows for the bonding of molecules while removing the oil molecule film from plant oils, enabling fluidity and simultaneously promoting combustion. Not only does it enhance fluidity, but when injected into the cylinder, it becomes fine particles that diffuse and mix easily with the atmosphere, making combustion easier. Additionally, while unburned components typically remain in combustion gases, these are also burned simultaneously, reducing the generation of air pollutants such as carbon monoxide (PM), phosphorus (P), and other substances produced by incomplete combustion. Carbon monoxide, due to its strong oxidizing power, accelerates the oxidation degradation of engine oil, shortening its lifespan. In biomass diesel engine generators that operate continuously for 24 hours, suppressing this oxidation is particularly important. In the oxidation process of plant oils, various oxidized substances known as "free fatty acids" are synthesized; however, for palm oil, processing must occur within 48 hours of harvesting, and there has been a demand for harmless and inexpensive oxidation suppressants.

As a post-solar power generation method, "biomass power generation" is gaining attention. In particular, our company has developed a highly efficient biomass diesel generator in collaboration with manufacturers, which operates a "diesel engine generator" using food waste from palm oil, specifically oils that have oxidized and cannot be used in food or processed products, to generate electricity continuously 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for sale. Since the fuel used in this engine is oxidized, it typically emits a lot of carbon monoxide in the exhaust gases, resulting in a significant amount of black smoke. However, by using the catalyst we introduce, this emission can be eliminated, which also helps prevent the oxidation of engine oil, leading to lower environmental impact. Oxidized vegetable oils have a distinct rancid smell, but this is also resolved with PS-1Q. This catalyst "PS-1Q" is effective for all vegetable oils, requires a small additive ratio of 1/10,000, and does not produce secondary pollution.
