New standard M8 connector for Ethernet.
The M8 D-code is a standardized version of the M12 D-code connector for Ethernet, as per the new IEC standard IEC/PAS 61076-2-114. It is 30% smaller compared to the M12 size and features the robustness of the M8 connector with dust and water protection rated IP 65 / IP 67. It supports a transmission speed of 100 Mbps and is compatible with Power over Ethernet (PoE), allowing data and power to be transmitted simultaneously over a single cable.
