Ideal for cross-domain use! Explanation of virtual prototypes.
Virtual prototypes fit parameters within vehicle models of CarMaker, TruckMaker, and MotorcycleMaker, aligning them with the properties and functions of the reference vehicles. Creating virtual prototypes based on your design data results in detailed and realistic models. By utilizing this data in the vehicle development process, it can be created at a low cost and used from the early stages of development. We provide support for obtaining the necessary data and parameterizing vehicle models using that data. 【Features】 ■ Virtual images of actual prototypes ■ Ideal for cross-domain use ■ Compatible with all vehicle classes supported by the CarMaker product family ■ Behavior that is realistic up to the limits of vehicle dynamics *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Company information
Various tools are being developed to realize model-based development. In automotive development, verification and testing using prototype vehicles are significantly constrained by time and cost, and although the importance of verification is increasing with the complexity of vehicle systems, it is difficult to rely solely on verification environments at the vehicle level. IPG Automotive provides a simulation environment for one vehicle, called the "Virtual Test Driving" platform, which can be utilized by all engineers involved in vehicle development from the early stages of the development process. Our company was established in 1984 as a spin-off from Karlsruhe University (now Karlsruhe Institute of Technology). The mission established at the time of founding, to balance vehicle simulation and real-time computation, continues to this day, emphasizing the coupling of driver models and environment models, and is designed based on maneuver testing rooted in driver operation. Our platform is equipped with sensor models that are essential for recent ADAS/AD development, enabling virtual closed-loop verification that includes the vehicle, environment (roads and traffic flow), and driver.
