We will introduce a case study of improvements in FA (Factory Automation) sites proposed by Patlite. The "LA6 type" stacked information display light was introduced to a manufacturing plant that wanted to display work time (takt time) during parts picking and assembly processes. The display light's takt time function changes color at regular intervals to show the passage of work time. Workers adjusted their pace while observing the display on the sub-line, supplying parts to the main line at the right timing, thereby reducing time loss. 【Case Study】 ■ Current Situation - Visualization of takt time on the sub-line is not possible. - The experience of workers is left to the site. - Delays in supplying parts to the main line caused production delays. ■ Proposal - Set time as needed and display minutes and seconds. - Receive external input signals to count up time and display it. - Use three types of outputs (start, alarm, warning) to synchronize numerical values and display colors, notifying workers and supervisors. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
